DENVER, October 1, 2008
The Profitool Users’ Group (PTUG) Conference, ended yesterday and, already, comments are being made as to its success. This year’s PTUG conference was held on September 22nd, 23rd, and 24th in Denver and featured many new and exciting enhancements to the Profitool 6 application.
In addition, this year’s conference was marked by a great presentation from John Bolland of Mainzeal. Mainzeal recently launched a large project entitled Revitalization of Profitool at Mainzeal. Bolland spoke about the project and even offered up a few prototype examples of where they plan to be by the end of the project. It is anticipated that he will be back at next year’s PTUG conference to demonstrate the successes of the project.
Simon Taylor of Unisolve conducted two presentations, 1) A Profitool API Example and a Field Time Sheet and 2) Electronic Payments to your Employees and Vendors. They were both timely and well received.
Also at this year’s PTUG conference as a presenter was Eric Newton, Vice President of Construction at COMDATA. COMDATA provides a variety of electronic payment services for construction companies, including debit and credit card services and new ways of taking advantage of the latest trends in electronic payments. The presentation was well received, creating a lot of interest in the concepts, as well as COMDATA’s products.
Next year’s PTUG conference is set for September 21st, 22nd, and 23rd and, once again, will be held in Denver, Colorado. A “Spouses’ Track” is being considered for next year’s conference so mark your calendars and plan to attend.
