Profitool Joins Qualcomm’s
Construction Equipment Partners Program

DENVER, March 1, 2005

Profitool, Inc. announced today that recent discussions with Qualcomm’s Wireless Business Solutions Division have produced an agreement for Profitool to join Qualcomm’s Construction Equipment Partners Program. The result is that Profitool’s latest construction equipment maintenance management system, GearWatch, now seamlessly interfaces with Qualcomm’s GlobalTRACS application, a data acquisition system that updates each unit’s status through a real-time telemetry link.

GearWatch allows companies to schedule maintenance, generate work orders, track warranty information, collect detailed repair cost, and track the reported location of each unit and attachment. Used by itself, GearWatch can greatly improve companies’ awareness of the state of each unit. Together with GlobalTRACS, that knowledge is sharpened with automated operating data and precise location information – both routinely and on request. GearWatch and GlobalTRACS improve equipment efficiency at job sites while lowering cost for equipment departments.

GearWatch is intended to be intuitive and used by people with varying levels of computer experience – from very limited to highly experienced. More importantly, this software product can assist in maximizing profitability for the company by reducing “down time” and increasing the life of the equipment.
