DDE - Distributed Data Exchange
What happens if you have an unreliable or nonexistent internet connection? No problem…
Distributed Data Exchange (DDE) enables Profitool to be run on a remote server and
dynamically exchange information to the main database. It gives a jobsite or remote
location the potential of using all the functionality of the system, allowing each site to
be distinctly configured so that access is only granted to those procedures that are to
be distributed. Furthermore, the home office can control and maintain any aspect of the
remote system; such as, cost code lists, vendor rosters, and central purchasing. With Profitool,
effective distributed data processing for construction is a reality.
